Zum ersten Mal nehme ich an einer Kartenchallenge teil – und zwar bei jener von AAA Cards. Dort lautet das Motto stets: CAS – clean and simple. Und dazu gibt’s immer wieder Themen- oder Technikvorgaben. Dieses Mal soll nur ein Bild verwendet werden, optional kann noch ein Bezug zu einer TV-Serie hergestellt werden. Und hier sind meine zwei Beiträge:

For the first time, I participate in a card challenge – in this one by AAA Cards. Their motto is always: CAS – clean and simple. Additionally, there are topic or technique specifications. This time, only one image should be used, and as an optional twist, your card can refer to a TV-series. These are my entries:

Zur ersten Karte hat mich „How I Met Your Mother“ inspiriert. Und bei der zweiten habe ich an „Flipper“ gedacht. Der Spruch ist ein Auszug aus dem Titellied.

„How I Met Your Mother“ inspired me to make the first card, and „Flipper“ was my inspiration for the second card. The sentiment is part of the theme song.

Beide Karten sind sehr minimalistisch; bei der Regenschirmkarte habe ich gestempelt und mit einem Chameleon Pen koloriert, bei der Delfinkarte  gestempelt und ein wenig Distress Oxide verblendet.

Both cards are very minimalistic; I stamped and coloured with a Chameleon Pen (umbrella card) resp. stamped and inkblended (dolphin card).

How to

Aus weißem Bristol habe ich ein A6-Panel geschnitten und auf dieses dann das Regenschirmdach mit Memento Tuxedo Black gestempelt.

I cut a DIN A6-sized panel from white bristol and stamped the umbrella canopy with Memento Tuxedo Black.

Im Stempelset, das ich benutzt habe, ist zwar auch ein Stempel für den Stiel enthalten, aber der ist so winzig, dass er zum Verwenden mit dem Stamp Tool unpraktisch ist, da er dauernd umkippt und man ihn erst gar nicht mit dem Deckel aufnehmen kann. Also habe ich den Stil selbst gezeichnet – zunächst mit Bleistift, später habe ich ihn mit einem Fineliner nachgezogen.

The stamp set I used includes a stamp for the pole, but it’s so tiny that it’s impractical to use with a stamp tool. It keeps tilting to the side, so I couldn’t pick it up with my stamp tool’s lid in the first place. That’s why I drew the pole by myself – first, I drew with a pencil, later on, I retraced the pencil line with a fineliner.

Dann habe ich noch den Griff und einen passenden Spruch aufgestempelt.

Next, I stamped the handle and a sentiment that went along with my idea.

Im Anschluss habe ich den Stiel mit einem schwarzen Fineliner nachgezogen und das Regenschirmdach mit einem Alkoholmarker koloriert.

Afterwards, I retraced the pole with a black fineliner and coloured the canopy with an alcohol marker.

Das fertige Panel habe ich mit Flüssigkleber auf die Klappkarte geklebt.

I used liquid glue to adhere the panel onto the note card.

Da ich weder einen passenden Spruch noch eine passende Schriftart unter all meinen Stempelsets gefunden habe, habe ich diesen Teil einfach am Computer gestaltet: Ich habe in meinem Grafikprogramm einen A6-Rahmen erstellt und die Worte passend platziert. Das Ganze habe ich ausgedruckt und mit meinem Papiertrimmer ausgeschnitten. Dann konnte ich auch schon den Delfin mit Memento Gray Flannel aufstempeln.

In all my stamp sets, I couldn’t find a sentiment nor a font that went along with my idea, so I created this part on my computer. Using my graphical software, I simply drew a DIN A6-sized frame and used a nice font for the sentiment. I printed that and used my paper trimmer to cut it out. Next, I stamped the dolphin with Memento Gray Flannel.

Mit einer Blending Brush habe ich ein wenig Distress Oxide Salty Ocean von unten nach oben verblendet, um das Meer anzudeuten.

To create the hint of the sea, I used a blending brush to apply some Distress Oxide Salty Ocean, starting at the bottom.

Das Panel habe ich wiederum mit Flüssigkleber auf eine Klappkarte geklebt.
