Ganz früher, als ich jung war, war ich mal in einer Band. Die war ziemlich cool. Aber nicht so cool wie diese Einhorn-Crew hier.

Long ago, when I was young, I was in a band. We were pretty cool. But not as cool as this unicorn crew here.

Bei dieser Karte handelt es sich um eine sogenannte One-Layer-Card – also alles auf einer Ebene. Maskieren macht’s möglich. Wie immer gilt: Einfach weiterlesen, wenn ihr wissen wollt, wie ich vorgegangen bin.

How to

Zuerst musste ich Masken herstellen – das Ausschneiden der auf Kopierpapier gestempelten Motive hat netterweise mein Schneideplotter übernommen.

First, I made masks. After I stamped the images onto copy paper, my electronic cutting machine did the hard part: the cutting.

Die Masken sind hilfreich, wenn es darum geht, eine Szene zu kreieren. Ich habe sie auf mein Panel aufgelegt und dann nach und nach die Motive aufs Panel gestempelt (mit Memento Tuxedo Black). Es gilt wie immer: von vorne nach hinten. Sprich: Zuerst stempelt man, was ganz im Vordergrund steht, maskiert es, stempelt die nächste Ebene, maskiert jene – bis man beim Hintergrund angelangt ist, den stempelt man zuletzt.

Masks are helpful when creating a scene. I arranged them on my panel and one by one, stamped the images onto the panel (I used Memento Tuxedo Black). It’s essential to first stamp whatever is in the foreground, then masking it off, stamp the next layer, masking that off – until you arrive at the background which you stamp last.

Die Stempel habe ich an den Masken ausgerichtet, mit dem Deckel des Stamp Tools aufgenommen, die Maske entfernt und gestempelt.

I lined up the stamps with the masks, picked them up with the stamp tool’s lid, removed the masks, and stamped.

Nachdem alle vier Einhörner aufgestempelt und maskiert waren, habe ich den Wolkenhimmel aufschabloniert. Dafür habe ich Blending Brushes und drei Distress Oxide-Farbtöne verwendet.

After I stamped and masked all four unicorns, I made the clouds. I used a stencil, blending brushes, and three Distress Oxide inks.

Dann habe ich die Masken entfernt und die Motive mit Chameleon Pens koloriert.

Next, I removed the masks and coloured the images with Chameleon Pens.

Den Spruch habe ich mit Memento Tuxedo Black aufgestempelt und das Panel im Anschluss mit Flüssigkleber auf eine Klappkarte geklebt. Und weil ich die Band so witzig fand, habe ich die Karte gleich viermal gemacht.

I used Memento Tuxedo Black to stamp the sentiment. Next, I adhered the panel onto a note card (I used liquid glue to do so). And because I found the band to be just awesome, I made this card four times.
