Dinge sind wesentlich schneller gekauft als benutzt – aber jetzt habe ich es endlich geschafft, dieses herzige Stempelset, das für sich alleine genauso funktioniert wie als Add-on zum Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel, auszuprobieren: die Fortune Teller Tabby, die Wahrsagerkatze.
Things are bought fast, using them takes time. But finally, I managed to play with this adorable stamp set that works alone as well as a Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel Add-on: the Fortune Teller Tabby.
Von den interaktiven Karten habe ich gleich vier Stück gemacht.

How to
Begonnen habe ich mit der Katze, die ich mit Memento Tuxedo Black (verträgt sich gut mit Alkoholmarkern) auf Cardstockreste gestempelt habe.
I started with stamping the tabby onto cardstock scraps. I used Memento Tuxedo Black, an alcohol marker-friendly ink.
Danach habe ich die Einzelteile für das Reveal Wheel ausgestanzt, ebenfalls aus Cardstockresten.
Next, I die-cut all parts for the Reveal Wheel from cardstock scraps.
Für den Hintergrund habe ich Ink Sprays benutzt. Zunächst allerdings einen Braunton, von dem ich dachte, dass er sicher toll mit dem Violett, das ich für das Kopf- und Tischtuch der Katze verwenden wollte, aussieht.
For the background, I used ink sprays. Originally, I went with a shade of brown because in my mind, this went perfectly with the violet I wanted to use for the tabby’s head- and table-cloth.
Um den Hintergrund etwas mehr Atmosphäre zu verleihen, habe ich transparente Glimmerpaste durch eine Sternenschablone aufgetragen.
To add some macigal vibe to the background, I applied transparent glimmer paste through a star stencil.
Und dann musste ich feststellen, dass mir das Ergebnis so gar nicht gefällt.
Once I was done, I found that I didn’t care for the results.
Also habe ich die vier Hintergründe erneut ausgestanzt. Zwei davon habe ich mit anderen Ink Sprays – einem Lila- und einem Blauton – gestaltet und ebenfalls mit Glimmerpastensternchen versehen, und für die anderen zwei habe ich Shimmer Powder benutzt.
So I die-cut the four background pieces again. I used two different ink sprays (a purple and a blue one) – and again, stenciled glimmer paste – on two of them and shimmer powder on the other two.
Shimmer Powder ist sehr einfach zu benutzen: Man sprüht das Papier mit etwas Wasser ein und streut kleine Mengen Pulver auf (Fläschchen geöffnet auf den Kopf stellen und gaaanz leicht mit dem Finger auf dessen Boden klopfen). Das Pulver reagiert mit dem Wasser. Dann kann man ganz nach Belieben mehr Pulver und/oder mehr Wasser dazugeben, wenn man möchte. Anschließend lässt man das Ganze lufttrocknen.
It’s easy to use shimmer powder: You spray your paper with a bit of water and sprinkle small amounts of powder over it (hold the opened bottle upside down and use your finger to very lightly tap its bottom). The powder will react with the water. You can always add more water and/or powder if you feel like doing so. Finally, you let the whole thing air-dry.

Während die neuen Hintergründe trockneten, habe ich weiter an den Bestandteilen des Reveal Wheels gearbeitet. Mithilfe von Schablonen (ohne die es übrigens auch geht, es ist nur bequemer mit ihnen) habe ich die Wahrsagersprüche aufgestempelt.
While the new backgrounds were drying, I continued to work on the parts of the Reveal Wheel. I stamped the „prophecies“ on the little wheels; using the coordinating stencil helped (but is not needed, you can also do it without the stencil – having it is convenient, though).
Danach habe ich die Katzen koloriert – mit Chameleon Pens – und sie und das Innere der Glaskugel ausgestanzt.
Next, I coloured the tabbies with Chameleon Pens and die-cut them (and the inside of the crystal ball).
Die zusätzlichen Sprüche habe ich direkt auf die Klappkarte gestempelt, auf die ich später auch das interaktive Element geklebt habe. Dank meines Stamp Tools musste ich die beiden Textstempel nur einmal mithilfe des oberen Teils des Reveal Wheels ausrichten. Danach konnte ich alle vier Karten hintereinander bestempeln.
I stamped the additional sentiments directly onto the note card (on which I later on adhered the interactive element as well). Thanks to my stamp tool, I had to line up the sentiment stamps with the upper part of the Reveal Wheel only once. Afterwards, I stamp all four cards.

Auf die Vorderseite habe ich die Katzen geklebt.
I glued down the tabbies onto the front part.
Blieb am Ende nur noch, den Reveal-Wheel-Teil auf die Klappkarte zu kleben …
